Our design process was inspired by Nurun’s Human-Centred Design Process which begins with research and leads to modelling (prototyping), to realization.
Understand the behaviours, and
perceptions with chefs and
buyers in the community through ethnography studies and surveys.
Market research for identifying the technology and business needs for the service along with competitor analysis.
Initially, envisioned an app that would allow users to list and buy home-cooked meals online with game dynamics, leveraging the “gamification” trend and enforcing healthy eating behaviour. Design followed an Agile iterative process.
A/B Tests to understand user actions, home page layout, and navigation for choosing menus and placing orders.
Guerrilla testing was carried out for buyers (at food
festivals and remotely) and chefs (in the comfort of their home as well as remotely).
Unmoderated user testing was carried out by giving
video instructions to chefs for adding their menus online.
